CELESTIAL BODIES :

The artworks being exhibited in Celestial Bodies are all loosely connected by either a direct relationship with a heavenly body or a suggestion thereof. Each of the three artists is abstractly exploring colour and incorporating an element of chance in the creation of form while using alternative photographic processes.
Laura Dutton’s Sunspots & Horizons are a series of camera-less photographic
light experiments created in the colour darkroom using only light sensitive C-print
paper, chemicals, a flashlight, and laser pointer.
Matt Trahan’s Stool Tops are a series of photographs produced by scanning
stool tops from around the painting studio printed large-scale with flat
Chris Lindsay has produced a series of silkscreened prints made from very
long exposures of the sun travelling through the sky using a purpose-built pinhole
