Renee Gouin

Renée Gouin creates works on paper and paintings to bridge inner experience and outer world. Nature, the body and the human psyche inspire her process. Born and raised in the Alberta prairies, this rustic terrain gives rise to symbols, space, line and colour in her work. Renée responds to the emotions of the moment as she gives form to her feelings with the use of various painting and drawing mediums.

Renée Gouin lives in Vancouver and has shown work in solo exhibitions at the Bjornson Kajiwarwa gallery and SixeightyA. She participated in a group watercolour show at Antisocial. Renée received a fine arts degree from Emily Carr University, an associate’s degree in graphic design from Parsons School of Design and a B.A in English Literature from the University of Victoria.
